You lie more comfortably with more suspension cords

The hammock spreads more easily through the use of additional suspension cords. The Tropilex hammocks therefore have additional cords so that you lie as comfortably as possible.

Of course the weight is also better distributed over the different cords. Less weight per cord = less chance of snapping.

Besides, the cords come out of the hammock itself. This typical Colombian style of production is popularly called "Cadejo". The advantage is that the cords are not sewn on to the hammock. It also leaves less chance of snapping.

The final suspension loop is open with the Colombian hammocks of Tropilex. The 'Open-Loop' makes it easier to hang the hammock.

The cloth for lying on is denser and firmer

The cloth for the Tropilex hammocks is woven up to 20% more densely with 70% cotton and 30% polyester.

The polycotton material has a number of unique properties. The cotton gives the hammock the pleasant soft feeling. The polyester provides extra strength and ensures that the hammock does not stretch too much.

The fabric is also woven up to 20% more heavily than other hammocks of other brands. This of course provides even more comfort and extra sturdiness.

European sizes for your hammock

Colombians make the best hammocks. However, a Colombian is not as big as a European. That is why the canvas is adapted to our European lengths and is therefore made 10-20 cm larger. So that you do not have to lie too tight in a hammock.

But watch out! The golden rule for hammocks is, the larger the surface for lying, the more relaxed you lie. A double hammock is therefore generally more relaxing than a single one.

Handmade with care in Colombia!

The Colombian hammocks are 100% from Colombia.

Each thread is first carefully sorted on the weaving machine. This is an extremely accurate job. The extraordinary patterns of the Tropilex hammocks are then set up on the machine. And from then on the machine starts to weave large, long cloths.

This long cloth is then cut to size. They then unravel the ends a bit. Now they can knot the 'cadejo' by hand. The suspension cords are then tied to this 'cadejo' again.

The cadejo gives the hammock the wonderful 'Handmade in Colombia' appearance. But, first of all, it makes the hammock especially strong and it gives more comfort!
