American spreader hammocks
'American' and 'Vegas' are two spreader hammocks in typical North American style. These two look perfectly fine, but that also applies to the comfort of lying! The hammocks are padded and are extra soft. The supplied cushion completes the relaxation!
'American' and 'Vegas' are made of weather-resistant and fast-drying material. The fabric looks like cotton and feels just as pleasant on the skin. Luxury Shorea wood is used for the spreader sticks, of course 100% FSC.
This Tropilex hammock comes with a matching bag. Handy for storing the hammock neatly in winter!
Difference in size
The difference between 'Vegas' and 'American' is their size. They are both spacious, but 'American' is about 20 cm narrower and 50 cm shorter than 'Vegas'. That makes the more compact 'American' ideal for a smaller garden. If you have no lack of space, choose the ultimate luxury of the spacious 'Vegas'!
A hammock stand does the American brothers full justice. Moreover, you can then relax anywhere in the garden. There is a wide range of stands. "Vegas" fits every Tropilex XXL hammock stand; the 'American' hammock fits the double hammock stands of Tropilex.

The wood of this stand has undergone a dipping bath. Because of this it is stripped of unevenness. It is best to pickle it or put it in oil, but it is not necessary. If you do not do this, the stand will slowly turn grey. Compare it to a picnic table.
You can hang the hammock up on a chain system, which can easily be adjusted to the length of your hammock. Take the total length of the hammock into account.
For you to be able to choose the right stand, you need to know the total length of the hammock. This includes the ropes. You can then adjust the hammock stand to the correct length, and hang it tighter or looser to your preference.
This amazing wooden stand is made from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from fair forestry in Scandinavia.

Do I need extra mounting material?
You do not need any extra mounting material. All hammocks with stand are supplied in such a way that you can hang your hammock immediately.
The supplied chains allow you to hang your hammock a little tighter or looser.
How to clean this hammock with stand?
Can this hammock with stand be left outside?
Hammock: No hammock can be left outside all year round. Fortunately, it is not a problem if this hammock gets wet once. Make sure that the hammock dries again as quickly as possible afterwards. If you are not using the hammock, we recommend storing it dry and not leaving it outside.
Hammock stand: You can leave this hammock outside. But of course you want to enjoy your stand for as long as possible. That is why we recommend that you store it dry in the autumn/winter and protect it from extreme weather conditions and dirt.
Does the wooden hammock stand need extra protection?
The wood is impregnated so that you can enjoy it for a long time! Discoloration and small cracks in the wood are normal for wood, but the stand will not rot thanks to the impregnation.
The hammock stand will turn grey over time. By treating it (after cleaning), you can prevent or remedy this process. You can treat the stand with oil, stain or lacquer.
What is the warranty on this hammock with stand?
The warranty for a wooden stand is 1 year from the date of purchase. If the wooden hammock stand shows material or manufacturing defects within 1 year, we will repair or replace the stand.
The warranty applies to material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not apply to product parts that are subject to normal use or weather influences. Small cracks are not covered by the warranty.
The hammock is shorter than the specifications?
When you receive this hammock with stand, the hammock will initially be slightly shorter than the specifications. A hammock is made of fabric and will therefore still stretch.
Because cotton grows, blooms and is processed differently in each country, the extent to which the hammock can stretch also varies.
